In case you missed it, Christine Sinclair said her farewells to Portland this weekend — in grand style. And the Stumptown Footy team did our best to honor the moment as well.
In case you missed it, we had a ton of great content on the site over the past week celebrating Christine Sinclair and what was likely her final game in the city of Portland. Because (in this humble blog boys opinion) it was all so gosh darn good, I wanted to throw the links all together in one place so that anyone who may have missed some of it has the chance to read, listen, and enjoy!
To kick things off, , , and recorded a Sinc-centric episode of Stumptown Radio and shared their lasting memories of the OG Thorn.
Wilder penned a heartfelt and meaningful tribute to Sinclair, touching on the immeasurable impact she has left on fans and teammates alike.
Melina also wrote a farewell reflection to Sinclair, summing up her whole impact from college to the pros — not just for the player she was, but also the amazing person she is.
On matchday, Wilder and Phuoc, with an assist from Timbers broadcaster Adam Susman, talked to fans about what Sinclair has meant to them, and what they will remember about the GOAT.
And finally, Phuoc and Wilder recapped what turned out to be an incredible night for Sinclair and the Thorns, as they thrashed Angel City 3-0 and booked a spot in the playoffs.
