I agree mostly with your list, although I think despite results I'd still put the Spirit further back. I'm not sold on them yet, and I think the goals/wins they've gotten were a lot of luck and random individual talent. I'd put them more in the 6 range for the time being.
Agreed, IтАЩd have the Spirit behind Gotham and Houston. The good ole Parsons diamond is slowing them down attacking-wise big time, though it has helped their defensive stability.
Right....I was like, where have I seen this before and why does it make me feel uneasy watching the Spirit play lol. Eerily familiar, but lacking the talent those Thorns teams had.
Yep. I was talking to a friend whoтАЩs a Spirit fan and he was like тАЬwhy do we looks so slow this year?тАЭ ....and then it clicked for me lol. No width at all, especially with McKeown playing CB
The Mark Parsons Project... competent, technically-proficient and successful UK-based act, with some memorable moments here in the States though for the most part strangely yawn-inspiring and less-impressive-than-expected for all that talent.
Oops, those are the career reviews of ALAN Parsons.
Now be fair. Alan Parsons wrote one the most famous sports team intros of all time. There are thousands of Bucks fans who still equate that song with imminent death. Does anyone's heart defibrillate when Mark Parsons strides confidently into the technical area?
Just need Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen in order to stick that landing!
Ricky Steamboat also used Sirius as entrance music.
Mark Parsons couldn't even strike fear in the heart of that thief, Marco Vega (Who, BTW, is actually a good guy if lousy cheat of a referree. See https://www.linkedin.com/in/marco-v
Houston or Gotham? Maybe Houston over Gotham? In my mind, all three of those teams should be around 6th place lol....and then a chasm between them and the top 3, or more so, Wave in a solid third and then a chasm between them and the top two. The Spirit win over OLR seemed flukey, and I just haven't really been impressed with much of their play yet through these 4 games. I think Houston has the better squad, so I'm inclined to put them above, even though their results seem similar. Gotham looks better than Spirit for me, so far, with the potential for some major derps to have them fall back pretty easily.
I'd probably have Houston, Gotham, Spirit for 4, 5, 6...though I think Racing could really come in for that 6th spot as well. They haven't been great, but they haven't been super bad either. They look more cohesive than Spirit to me so far, Spirit just has a more potent attack and individual talent there...the next few weeks should allow for more separation.
That is a good approach, with a disclaimer the WC break could scramble things. I think all three of your group four could wind up in a six team group three. but I think all three of your group four teams could improved as this season goes on.
Just to stir the pot a bit...
1) Portland
2) Puget Sound WoSo Team
3) San Diego
4) Washington
5) Gotham
6) Houston
7) Racing Louisville
8) KC
9) ACFC
10) Chicago
11) NC
12) Orlando

Yeah, it's a strange look with the personnel they have, but, very Parsons. Haven't lost yet...but still doesn't look good.

My bad.

Almost as intimidating as when the Pistons used "The Final Countdown," which of course inspired this:

Who goes up to 4 for you?

That was the problem for me too. There are more clusters (or cluster-fs, in some cases) than a linear 1-12.
Yeah tiers are usually the easier approach:
1. Portland, Seattle
2. SD
3. Houston, Gotham, Washington
4. ACFC, Louisville, KC
5. NCC, Chicago
6. Orlando

Yeah I think you could easily just do:
1. Portland, Seattle
2. SD, Houston, Gotham, KC, Washington
3. Louisville, ACFC, NCC, Chicago
4. Orlando
ItтАЩs all so tight, I donтАЩt really trust any of the middle teams, and itтАЩs not like Portland and Seattle are sure things on any given week.
Yeah, I'd say I agree with you 100% here! Although, the 3rd/4th tiers could become interchangeable.
