You can't fake the things she did in match conditions in her previous run of form. Those weren't flukes. Think of how long it's taken for Morgan Weaver to get to the level of form she's shown this season. And she, Befort, had a few nice things last night too. It just takes time to develop, and there will be ups and downs, good games and bad ones.
I’d like to call this an “epic collapse” except the club has looked like shit from the opening whistle, rode Bixby and the woodwork and dumb luck for an hour, and finally got what was coming to them.
Lesser opponent who were the better team out there last night, tho.
Poor Bix probably played her best match all season, maybe ever in a Thorns kit. Even had the Erceg header read perfectly and was in position to stop it but for Hina's redirection of it. And nothing she could have done on Thembi's goal.
Same reason some other folks on the roster are pros. They'll accept the pay and they're probably good people in training, in the locker room, and in the community.

I think Weaver was totally gassed, but it still killed any chance we had at getting the leveler. No win situation really.
