Perhaps Loria on that other wing? I’m really not sure, he hasn’t played since coming back from injury. Miller could also step in for Zuparic and Rasmussen play at LB. Ikoba starting is a very real possibility, and I wouldn’t mind that. I have no clue is Paredes is ready to start, but I imagine he will. I’m excited to see what Caliskan can bring, and I predict Nathan will score because he did well in his USL career. Getting Blanco and Yimmi on the field at the end will be great. Our depth is finally back and boy does it feel GREAT
I like this lineup. I'm not expecting much out of the game, and it won't be a Cal FC-level disaster if they lose, but I really want to see some of these kids and it'll be good to get them some first team exposure.
And I'm one of those folks! I'm just not sure a lineup containing four T2 kids and a lot of bench depth can give the first team that momentum, really.
It's a lovely night for a game though and I would love to see them win, because winning is fun. I just wouldn't read too much into the result as far as the regular first team goes.
I hadn't given the starting XI much thought, yet, but I really like your 'guess' and the reasoning behind it Alex! It gives our 2nds and 3rds pitch time and a chance for our 'developing' players from T2 to shine! I have yet to watch any games on CBS's Golazo, so I hope there won't be any viewing issues tonight. Thank you for another great article!
The lineup I’m predicting would be:
Sulte
Bonilla - Clegg - Zuparic - Miller
Griffith - Caliskan - Paredes
Gutierrez - Nathan - ?

Wouldn't mind seeing Niezgoda get the start just so he can bang in a few and get some confidence back.

While another USOC loss would be no big deal, there are a bunch of folks waiting desperately for signs we've turned the corner.
The combo of having a winning, front foot outing at PP on a nice evening - and Seba's return - would help build some sorely-needed momentum.

CBS Golazo is on Paramount plus. I use it to stream the Thorns and I don't have any problems unlike Apple TV for the Timbers
I, for one, would like to see ten Justin Rasmussen and Hunter Sulte
I don't think there's enough time before lineups are due to perfect the cloning process.
Um, wut????
