well, here we are in the new place. Should I take my shoes off? I feel like I don't want to mess anything up. Are there coasters to protect the new furniture?

So STF has: Left the old front office and moved to a new host; retired the older aging site; and given the start to a newer/younger site. I like the way that sounds. STF-TID... Thank you for all your efforts!
Thornando checking in. Great to see you all keeping STF alive. Not sure how you'll be able to keep alive the discussion forum feel of the old place, or have more or less dedicated spaces for Thorns and Timbers, respectively. The Thorns community has been far more vocal and interactive than the Timbers one was on the old STF. Hopefully that continues. Thanks for your efforts, all of you!
Thank you for the endless support, means everything. We will do everything possible to make it feel the same, but will be a tall task that we look forward to for sure. There are some more ideas we have going around that we are considering too :)
As of now, I want to keep the amount of content you all deserve.
Please tell me a bit about the supporting. Does the money go to Stumptown Footy or to Substack or what? How much is it going to cost to operate and maintain this?
We are working on creating some sort of forum for the spirit of Fanposts and fan engagement to live on in the new site, and we’ll be sure to let you know when that’s rolling out."
You could have an anything goes open thread every week. (I know one soccer site on SBNation that does this, albeit as a fan post, and it's by far the busiest section of their site.)
A place I can comment? Cool, cuz I was never registering an account with SBNation and so I just read STF since the beginning, if not earlier, rather than contributing.

Functionality questions.
Maybe I'd eventually figure some of this out, maybe not. Easier to ask smart people.
1. Can one display comments in reverse chronological order?
2. Can one get read comments somehow marked?
3. Can one see who has liked their comments? Or others' comments?
4. Can one see their posting history?
5. Can one see another's posting history?
6. Can one block or ignore an individual? I've never ever done this, but you never know.
7. When will the STF at SBNation stop accepting posts and comments? Will it continue to be viewable for some period of time or just disappear?
8. Is there a way to scroll or zoom to unread comments?
9. I've already receive a few email notifications that someone liked a comment of mine. How does one turn those off?

Glad you're still around in some form! I hope you all will create some sort of presence on Mastodon. There's a good group of us over there.
