It was bound to happen soon but we all didn’t know when it would be. Smart negotiations for the Timbers front office based on if Evander will even sign a contract extension with Cincinnati and the add ons included on the deal.
I am intrigued to see how the new no. 10, Da Costa will mesh with the attack and the overall starting 11 in his first year as a Timbers player.
if da Costa is missing French food he could do worse than going to St Jack on NW 23rd. Le Pigeon is the old standby, but St Jack is every bit as good. Not far from St Jack is St Honore Boulangerie, but there's a few of those around town and in the burbs as well. Dude will be well set for French food if he wants it; Portuguese food may be a little harder to come by, though, I'm not nearly as familiar with that scene (I'm not counting Brazilian food as Portuguese).
The spirit of the locker room can not be understated. Without "the saga" hanging heavy anymore, a weight has been lifted and it's a chance for the team to grow. I hope the leaders guide the team in the right way and they play for each other.
Apparently the automated YouTube transcript is considered good enough, although you can't tell from it who's talking, so it's hard to discern the points being argued and who's talking in response to what. Add to that hit-or-miss punctuation and names that are rarely spelled the same way twice, and you get a truly delightful reading experience. 😂
So awesome Timbers against Charlotte on local TV. First chance to watch the newest iteration. At least I thought I was going to be happy. First 45 the most uninspired 45 minutes of play. Just like in past no cogent style of play. It's preseason people should be fighting for spots. Is our roster so thin there is no competition and the players can just walk it out there. Was so excited for the new season. Regretting watching this am now so uninspired to watch this team, dreadful.
And when its week 8 and we have one win we will be saying its early in the seasons, we will have another late year run.............. nothing like the present.
