Yeah Payne absolutely needs to be on and tasked with close marking whoever floats to that side. Temwa would be ideal but she often floats to the L not the R. I was looking at stats last night and if the Thornies in defense have been paying attention (and team analysts are doing their jobs), they’d see that Temwa only generally scores with her R foot. Only 1 with her L so if you can force her onto her L foot, that will def help. With Bia, it’s the inverse. She’s only scored with her L foot. Force her onto her R. These are things I’d keep in the back of my mind if I were on defense. As an attacker, I was much more comfortable with my R foot, and if defenses knew that…well, it sucked for me lol.
I hope our scouts are as informed as you are. Müller may not have Payne’s speed but makes up for it tactically nous. I wished our FBs were offensively more dangerous to put additional pressure on KCs back line.
As frustrating as last week’s scoreless draw was I’d be kinda okay if we got that result today. Obvs a win would be better! But if our defense can stymie the KC assault? I won’t be entirely disappointed.
I can’t imagine this game ending in a draw even though KC tends to draw when they don’t win. Both offenses are dangerous and both defenses are suscríbete. Thorns are more depleted. Hopefully Obaze is available and Sam can play 45.

Gonna need all the muscle we can get from her. Guessing Sam comes on at half or 60’. Happy to see Payne get the start. Interesting they go with Izzy over Payton..:which means Soph on the wing.

KC is fast as a fast thing can be. Disrupting their attack gives us a chance, provided we relearn how to score.
Probably want to start Payne ahead of Reyes. She and Muller can take care of the edges.
