Will be interesting to see if Vancouver rotate their lineup. Initial thought would be yes to prioritize CCL, but they got beat 3-0 by LAFC at home. Is there any real hope for them to go to LA and win by three goals? I could see them focusing more on the league after that, but who knows.

Our lineup will be interesting with yet another starter out. The bench will be stacked though, with Ayala, Evander, Boli, Ikoba, and Asprilla, none of whom I believe will start (I feel like Ikoba should be at a point where he can, but 🤷‍♂️). Chara and Moreno will be our two starting center mids, which limits our formation unless we want to play someone out of position. I predict a 4-4-2: Bravo, Zuparic, McGraw, Miller; Gutiérrez, Moreno, Chara, Mosquera; Nathan, Niezgoda. Not ideal to have Niezgoda and Nathan start but I’m really not sure what the other choices are I’d like to see Nathan and Ikoba up top together, but again Ikoba is still on a minutes restriction apparently

I think that your proposed 4-4-2 + a bunch of subs is definitely the most likely unless Gio decides to go wild and get creative or some of the players that we think are on minutes restrictions can play more minutes than we thought. Hate having both Nathan and Niezgoda up top, though. That's a lot of ineffective offense there.

I absolutely agree about Nathan and Niezgoda, I just don’t think there’s many other options, if any. And Gio plays Niezgoda more than what most of us would like. That lineup was what I think will happen, not what I want. Though I don’t even know what I want

I did not see the Williamson info until now. That just takes the cake. Another player out. How does the old guy of the group stay so fit and everybody else finds the injury report like a comfortable couch to jump on? That's a long list of players on the report. My goodness.

Well, I have no clue what the fitness levels are of guys coming off the injured list: Asprilla, Ayala and Evander, and even guys who haven't played a ton who are trying to build fitness: Ikoba, Boli. So, it will be definitely a team effort tonight with all five subs maxed out. Who knows what Gio's plan is, but since nothing in life goes as planned, I hope he reads the situation well and handles this roster mess with surgical precision.

We need a 'W' and maybe there is some caution coming out the gate of this game, but ultimately you will have to throw some offense out there. The 4-4-2 looks sensible JJ. And the predicted lineup from Sam S seems sensible too, depending on Evander's readiness. If he's ready, I really hope this is the lineup, a 4-3-3, although I would love to see Ikoba start.

Having Niezgoda start just doesn't sit right with me, so Fogaca probably gets the nod.

It'll be interesting to see who does get the nod - I have a feeling there might be some surprises: maybe formation switch, or starts. I just hope we get a W. I know that's a lot to ask, but I was encouraged by last week, and I hope they can build off that.

I don’t want Evander to start given our injury situations right now. Ease the guy in as carefully as possible, we cannot risk him reinjuring himself again, which is what happened last time iirc
