I realize they've played only 5 games, 2 fewer than we have, but still it's a paltry number for a team with Jaedyn Shaw, Alex Morgan, and several other good forwards. For comparison, the Thorns have scored 15 (that means 8 by non-Sophia-Smiths), the Current 20 (!), the Spirit also 15, the Pride 13, and the Courage 12.
I personally don't think any of those players are better than replacement level, especially with with the injection of front line talent most NWSL teams have gotten with the cap spike.

It's a combination of Casey Stoney committing crimes against soccer and the fact that, before the Sanchez trade, it really was JUST Morgan and Shaw.
They've also got Jakobsson, Doniak, Barcenas, Elyse Bennett, Amirah Ali.... they should be able to score a couple, you'd think.
