How are the red stars officially out of playoff contention? They have accumulated 17 points and 6th place teams has only accumulated 24 points. With 5 games left that is 15 points still up for grabs. They can finish with as many as 32 points if they some how run the table.
It's not clinched yet. If CRS win out, and if the other 25 games played are all draws, then they would have 32 and OL Reign would have 28 (one loss to CRS in there). Washington would have 30 (also a loss to CRS). So Chicago would finish 5th and OL Reign would be out. If you would like to make a wager on the likelihood of this, I would be happy to bet my house.

Jaelin Howell, Carson Pickett, and Nadim were also out due to injury last weekend and could be major losses for Racing against Portland.
