If Rob decides he’s not going to play with both wingers he needs to go. Deciding not to play wingers messes everything else up. I think Becky and Müller have to play because they are best defenders. Above all organization is required. Whole team defends. And that’s not been the case. Wingers have to go back and help defend. They can just stand around waiting for the ball all the time
Mueller should start instead of Reyes, and Sauerbrunn instead of Hubly..Too soon to tell, I guess, whether Arnold or Hogan is the better shot-stopper. Arnold's distribution is nice, but keeping the ball out of the net is the keeper's job. I'm afraid Rodman is going to eat Payne's lunch, but I don't see what to do about that other than have really tight defense in the box. We really need a couple of top-notch defenders.
If their stat lines are any indication Arnold and Hogan are about a wash against the shot; Arnold’s xG-against-minus-concessions-per-90-minutes is something like -0.14, Hogan’s is -0.18. Meaning they’ve both been slightly poorer than expected but roughly similar.
Since Arnold is better with the ball at her feet?
Both will need more help from their backline than they’re getting.
I agree and I.think Reyes played well too! I would have liked Gale to have brought in Payton rather than Izzy. Izzy is not bad she just isn’t a winger and Psyton is moe composed on the ball. IMHO.
Izzy is currently the star of Chief's "water ... boat" line. I like her attitude, but currently she's the go-to player for wasting scoring opportunities. She needs to somehow build her confidence and get out of her own head.
Reign traveled to LA and drank Angel City's milkshake, in the return of the Laura Harvey Strategy Univac. Done with a lot of VAR help (one PK awarded, two ACFC goals reversed).
TBF to both squads, very entertaining night and Huerta remains a favorite player.
The problem with that is that when she played here she was Sam Coffey; the starting #6. Well…we HAVE a Sam Coffey, so there’s no natural opening for Henry.
I think the world of Henry, but the big issue with this club isn’t nearly so much the roster as organization and training, and that’s not a problem Henry can solve

Definitely one of the things we've missed most with Weaver on the IL. She's almost too fierce on the defensive side of the ball sometimes.
Her relentless work rate is missed so much.

Actually I thought Payne did pretty well against Rodman in the game here.
And it turns out she did well in DC too.

OMG do I miss Weaver for so many reasons.

OT: Henry was let go from the Royals. I always thought she did a great job while she was here, does she fit into our system and can we afford her?

We may have roster problems on the backline but it's harder to say with the poor organization and training....
