Pretty much a snooze fest, but I’ll gladly take a clean sheet and point on the road!

This game, though, did remind me of early season PTFC — really disconnected for long stretches, pretty awful passing, and struggling to keep any measure of possession.
But over the last few weeks, we’ve seen they can do better, so hopefully this game was just a glitch in the trend line. But like I said, a road point is a road point.
I think 3rd game in a week for a lot of the guys plus the travel and humidity on short rest were leading to a lot of those disconnects. A clean sheet on the road to a team struggling to score is nice. You could tell how bad RSL wanted to score so a clean sheet will work.
I actually thought we were better in the 1st half. Conditions weren't exactly ideal. Tbh, I was worried about an injury given the weather and the pitch. At least we got a result and a clean sheet.
0-0 is a fair result. Could have been 1-1 with both teams hitting the left post, but we really didn't play well enough to win, or badly enough to lose.
RSL certainly gambled that we couldn't finish and they may well be proven right. The passing not being sharp enough really let rsl off the hook, given how much space they gave us. But getting a draw on short rest with the same lineup on Sat - and the injury list - and on the road in altitude and game delay conditions? Yeah, I'll take it.
RSL sure allowing us some space tonight. If we could be better in transition with out passing and make sure to get Evander every chance to create, then I like our chances.
And I came home late knowing that I'd probably missed most of the 1st half. Guess the weather god decided to delay the match long enough that I might only see the first half given that it'll be dinner time in Hawaii. I had to find out the new kickoff time from reddit. Sheesh.
Seems like even a streaming service could show league highlights show with a crawl saying “weather delay, will cut to RSL v Portland as soon as resumes”.
It this useless loop that does zero to promote an MLS product. /sarcasm
Whatever you say about how he’s playing, I so so so want it all to work out right for Niezgoda. If he comes good here, or if he leaves and finds happiness, either way. The man looks like he’s carrying the weight of the world, and I hope he can lighten his burden somehow.
Yeah, he did look pretty depressed out there....playing better recently. I have thought for a long time that events in eastern Europe might be on his mind. His hometown is less than 100 km from the Ukraine border. You never know....
I absolutely agree, I’m always rooting for the guy, he’s so likable. I do think he’s been playing a little better recently, but if he’s not starting, I do think Nathan is usually a better stylistic fit off the bench
