Timbers Preseason Notebook: Coachella Valley Invitational Recap

Portland draws once and loses twice in Coachella as the preseason comes to a close.

Last winter, the Portland Timbers went undefeated during their preseason matches. It did not portend to be a good omen for the rest of the season, as Portland missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year, fired their head coach, and pretty universally had their vibes torpedoed.

This winter, the Timbers went winless. Does that portend to mean anything? Probably not — but we’re still gonna run through and recap their time down in Indio, California anyway.
