The Portland Thorns announce opening day roster + STF's projected starting XI

The Portland Thorns have announced their opening day roster for the 2025 NWSL season.
Their 2025 campaign will start with 22 active players on their rosters, with eight new players joining the club: Deyna Castellanos, Sam Hiatt, Caiya Hanks, Pietra Tordin, Carissa Boeckmann, and Jayden Perry. Newcomers Kaitlyn Torpey (Australia) and Daiane (Brazil) will occupy international roster spots along with returners Mackenzie Arnold (Australia), Jessie Fleming (Canada), Isa Obaze (Denmark), and Hina Sugita (Japan).
Sam Coffey and Mackenzie “Macca” Arnold will be the team’s captains. Their leadership council will include Jessie Fleming, Bella Bixby, Deyna Castellanos, and Jayden Perry.
One name everyone will love to see on the list is Supermom, Bella Bixby! She made her return at the Coachella Valley Invitational, and also saw the Providence Park supporters and fans for the first time against Utah last Friday.
