Jonathan Rodriguez: Jona continues to be a real difference-maker for the Timbers, notching his eighth goal of the season with a tidy, low finish past Yohei Takaoka, which turned out to be the game winner. Rodriguez was available to the media post-match for the first time since his signing, and said, “I didn’t know it was three months [since his debut] *chuckle*, but I feel very happy and comfortable here. Santiago Moreno: Prior to Saturday’s win against Vancouver, Santi’s last goal contribution for the Timbers came in their 4-2 win against San Jose on May 15 — the win that jumpstarted Portland’s current six-game unbeaten streak.
