It should come as no surprise that the two Timbers to make the Team of the Matchday fall under ‘stock up’ again this week.

Santiago Moreno: One word: Baila. No, that’s not just what Santi and Juan Mosquera did for the former’s goal celebration against RSL — it’s what he did to them for the entire 90 minutes. Santi absolutely danced around the likes of Brayan Vera en route to a one goal, one assist performance that earned him a starting spot on the aforementioned Team of the Matchday. His first goal was all about strength and power, holding off Vera before sitting him on his backside and finding a darting Felipe Mora in the box to open the scoring. He later smashed home a knock-down from Evander in the box to double the Timbers’ lead. Phil Neville said Santi’s going to go on and play at the highest level in his career, and that the club will undoubtedly be receiving a big bid for him in the next 12 to 18 months.
