I wonder how much he can actually get away with making that sort of call from the stands? I mean, if a team wants to pre-arrange baseball-style "signs," there would be no way to prevent them, right?
God, even when Torpey does something right she does something wrong. She tried to dribble out of the backfield but held onto it too long and tripped instead of dishing it off to the open player ahead of her to her left. FFS.
Gonna be honest I’m not too mad if 2025 is the start of a Louisville-Portland rivalry, the Courage remain the damned and nobody will ever unseat Seattle, but I can’t be bothered to care much about any of the California teams, fun to have some fire between us
I have to say, I have always liked Loovull's kits. The first year floral kits are an all-time great. The houndstooth check was good, and these argyle/jockey racing silks kits are nice too.
Huge win. They crack me up because they "win ugly" but also still create more awesome chances than literally anyone in the league. Never seen anything like it.
I wish I had a crystal ball about next year. If we can get Wilson, Weaver, Muller, and Payne to return, we have a LOT of depth, and we've also got a team that fights for each other. We could have a really fun year next year.
What kept coming into my mind was that despite RG always harping about playing a "better" brand of football, it was Racing who looked more coherent, better trained, and fundamentally sound.
And heaven knows how many times that thought has crossed my mind during this coaching tenure.
Hah Moultrie giving Demelo some of her own medicine on that dive
Prediction: JP gets put back on PK duty.
Yeah, even Sinc had the good goddamn sense to give Nadim the ball every time.
It seems like Sam's been going right every time. I was surprised her previous (to this) PK didn't get stopped.
Even going left like she did would have been okay, but that shot was a good meter inside the post and not all that hard-hit.
I should add I meant going to the keeper's right.
Take Torpey offff Rob please.

A simple text lol. Or, just, the coach who is in charge could use his eyeballs!
But is that allowed (texting the bench)?
In any case, yeah, whoever's making the calls down on the pitch should have acted at the half.
That's what I expected...thanks for checking!
It's coming at 60, I'm guessing.
Wow, I just heard Reyes's name called for maybe the first time all match.
Dufour has 2 goals in like 40 minutes. Holy crap! She's got a nose for goal and how to put the biscuit in the basket.
And then we're LEVEL!
Dufour 6-8, who do we appreciate???
I took your joke but you were quicker lol
Inspiration belongs to us all. =)
Honestly, the best thing for NWSL 2025 would be a full-strength KC/Loovull 1st round playoff match. Fingers crossed.
This ref has been excellent, Weber has tried to undercut JP twice and he's called it right both times
Yep. Lindsey was NUTS for harping on the PK for Sonis, who whiffed on the ball before Turner caught her calf. Correct call.
I liked the purpose with which JP was hunting those headers down.

Yes, yes, yes. What, all of a sudden you're Rose Lavelle? Know your very obvious limits.
And there were easy options.
Winning ugly still winning. So I'm told.
Enjoy your flight back, Thorns.
Beats losing ugly
As Geddy Lee said to Bob & Doug McKenzie, "Ten bucks is ten bucks."

Just watch Torpey's positioning every time Hase makes that run- Way too narrow, no sense of angles, late to react....the whole package.
Dufour is certainly efficient. That's, uh, refreshing.
She just scores goals.
DU-FOUR-6-8 who we we appreciate!!!
She knew what to do WO thinking.
Like that.
Very poised in putting it right where she wanted.
Game is still ugly with all of this broken play though.
Lol - can’t even complete an uncontested pass to Torpey bc she can’t run to it.
Forpey. I like it.
Fixed, but yeah, it was a good typo.
Nah, keep it. A Forpey is a Torpey F-up.

Any chance we mature into converting regularly?
See my question above.
Question: Doesn't "winning ugly" mean inconsistency? And inconsistency is not a good thing?

Usually when you win ugly you’re not also the best chance creating team in the league
