That's a FUCKING PENALTY. HOW WAS THAT NOT EVEN LOOKED AT

Corruption or incompetence. Take your pick.

Clear and obvious error to not call a foul. But I don't know the VAR rules. Some stuff isn't reviewable, right?

Yellows aren't reviewable. Reds and fouls in the box are.

It is looked at. I want them to open up what those conversations are because that felt really clear.

Clear as day. That leg was late and didn't get any ball.

I agree. I want the conversation. What was the mental gymnastics involved there

Hey MLS nobody wants to commit to watching a game just to have a call absolutely blown in the final minutes changing the result. Fix it or fail.

This referee has been let'em play all day and he called that?

Only thing I can think of is that VAR thinks the ref played advantage (which is an incompetent thought given the quality of the resulting chance) on the penalty because otherwise that's about as stonewall as a pen can be.

VAR would be advised by ref that he (ref) saw the foul and allowed the advantage. The VAR can’t do anything after that because the referee hasn’t missed the foul, therefore no clear and obvious foul was missed.

For me to play on after a PK decision, it has to be a clear goal scoring opportunity i.e. more than 50%.

The ref supposedly said it was a foul, however allowed Lassiter the advantage. That was a low % advantage vs a penalty kick-the balls going sideways and there’s a defender closing down.

How is that not a foul on Paredes?

Ref has a choice. Penalty or cheat.Guess what he chose.

Pretty sure it was blocked and he gave a goal kick. Would have to see a replay but thought the defender got his foot on it.

If that guys toe touched it, still didn’t change the fact the ball wasn’t even remotely on frame

Not even close to the ball. He took him out and never got ball. That's a pen. The ref and var need to be removed from game rotation

I just don't get taking off da Costa. We were up 1-0. We needed another goal to put the game to bed. What was Nveille thinking?

K. Miller was playing well. Off you go. Same with DaCosta. Phil doesn't make subs he makes unsubs.

Understandable then. You don't want to kill a player in the fourth game.

They've allowed LA eight shots this half and most of them have been scary. Even a bad team will knock one in eventually if you can't do better than that.

That was probably our best and most cohesive 45 minutes. Still think the new players they brought in are crap. Ortiz, Lassiter and kelsey are bench players at best. We need a true dp 6 next to ayala because chara can't go 70 every game.

This team in a 4-2-3-1 with a front 4 of mora, Moreno, da Costa, Antony would be very fun to watch this season. However besides mora none of those players are goal dangerous. They have speed and technical ability but are not create goals for themselves. Meaning goal scoring is gonna come from positioning and awareness. That comes down to coaching. I don't have faith in phil in that aspect. Jim curtin would be FIRE AF with this team. Give him a dp 6 and watch out

Was thinking that if we had Evander - attitude and all - with da Costa, the problems with ball progression would be highly lessened. We'd still have some issues with the back line though Smith looks like a keeper and sooner - like right now - he makes K Miller/McGraw surplus. Either you keep Mora or Kelsey and go after a 9 who can play every weekend, we'd be better off. Mind you, Kelsey just boggles me. Like why spend a transfer fee on a Cincy failure/reject/mediocrity?
