Today, Portland Thorns’ new President and General Manager Jeff Agoos was officially introduced to the media.
Agoos was quite open and transparent throughout the entire presser. He shared quite a few updates.

Q: Sam Svilar of Stumptown Footy — What interested you and attracted you to this role with the the Portland Thorns in the first place? Also, what’s your overall goals, for the GM position?
Jeff Agoos: I've always had a real affinity to Portland, going all the way back to my Olympic team days with Clive Charles here, and have spent a lot of time here in various capacities… Portland, specifically, I think, is a place that I've always held really near and dear to my heart, as I said with Clive, but also the brand here is iconic. We have incredible investors and owners. They want to deliver a premium product and ensure that Portland continues to be one of the best teams, not only in the NWSL, but in the world.

Q: Sam Svilar of Stumptown Footy — You've had a lot of experience working on the men's side of the game and various MLS clubs and with the league. I would love to hear you know how you're planning on kind of familiarizing yourself with the women's side of the game and with NWSL in general.
